The first day
ringing for a while due to the blustery conditions over the past few days. 52
birds were ringed, including 11 Tree Pipits (Trädpiplerka), a number equalling the
day record set in May 2007. As well as these birds a significant number more
were migrating straight over during the morning. A Greater White-fronted Goose (Bläsgås)
migrated over this morning and a Black Tern (Svarttärna) went south past
Vadarbunkern. This evening, a small selection of waders migrated south past here,
as well as a flock containing 4 Pintail (Stjärtand) and 3 Wigeon (Bläsand).
