21st May 2019

44 birds were ringed, including a Booted Warbler (Stäppsångare) caught late in the morning,
only the second record for the island, the previous being a bird ringed in September
2008. The sixth Greenish Warbler (Lundsångare) of the year was also ringed,
already making this a record breaking year for the species here (the previous
maximums were five in 1988 and 2018), continuing the upward trend of recent
years. As well as these the third Grasshopper Warbler (Grässhoppsångare) of the season was
ringed as well as the first Spotted Flycatcher (Grå flugsnappare). A 1st
year Greenfinch (Grönfink) was caught, the first fledgling of the year!

will be three at the obs tonight: Matt, Espen and Håkan.
