6th May 2019

Today was dominated by a fairly brisk southerly breeze. There
was a change in the composition of species caught compared to recent days with
a higher proportion of warblers and fewer Robins (Rödhake) and Goldcrests (Kungsfågel). This morning a four hour migration count
from the south produced a moderate movement of seaducks including 120 Velvet
Scoter
(Svärta), 416 Common Eider (Ejder), 63 Common Scoter (Sjöorre) and 57 Long-tailed Duck (Alfågel) as
well as 90 Razorbill (Tordmule), 15 Common Guillemot (Sillgrissla), three Black
Guillemot
(Tobisgrissla), an Arctic Skua (Kustlabb), eight Whimbrel (Småspov), two Whinchat (Buskvätta) and four Tree Pipit (Trädpiplärka).

32 birds were ringed this morning.
