20th June 2019

Six birds
were ringed today with a return to settled and warm weather. The Great Reed
Warbler
(Trastsångare) that was first caught two weeks ago and has been singing
from the reedbed at Bredmar every day since was recaptured again today, having
gained a significant amount of fat since the initial capture. Of note
insect-wise, thousands of Silver Y (Gammafly) have arrived on the island
in the last couple of days, whilst the number of Painted Ladies (Tistelfjäril)
has dropped off.
