14th June 2019

A return to
calm conditions today and we were able to open all nets. 25 birds were ringed
in total of 18 species, including the first Great Spotted Woodpecker (Större hackspett)
of the year and the second Woodpigeon (Ringduva), many of the birds caught were
recently fledged young. In the sunny conditions this afternoon many butterflies
and dragonflies were on the wing, most notably huge numbers of Painted Lady (Tistelfjäril), which
are particularly numerous this year.
