23rd October 2019

77 birds were ringed today, although some nets were not opened due to a fairly constant southwesterly wind throughout the day. Our first Mealy Redpoll (Gråsiska) of the autumn was among 33 redpolls caught today, with the rest being the smaller and darker brown Lesser Redpoll (Brunsiska). Two Whooper Swan (Sångsvan) migrated south this morning together with four Canada Geese (Kanadagås).
