26th October 2018

Frost on the ground lingered through the morning in sheltered places. Nets opened at 0715 and closed at 1330 with 97 new birds of 13 species.

Among the new birds, we trapped a male 1cy Reed Bunting (Sävsparv) with a ring from the Finnish ringing scheme on it, with a Blue Tit (Blåmes) caught yesterday, also with a Finnish ring on.

Lena, Bosse and Niklas arrived on the mid-morning ferry, with Bosse and Niklas straight out to do some migration watching together with a potentially new member, Mattias. Quiet for birds but plenty of White-tailed Eagle (Havsörn) and one Golden Eagle (Kungsörn).

There will be 7 at the Obs overnight; Chris, Kay, Lena, Bosse, Niklas, Rasmus and Jacob.
