13th October 2018

Nets opened at 0645 and closed at 1300 with a moderate southerly wind increasing through the morning to strong by the time netting finished. Just 84 new birds of 15 species including a Red-breasted Flycatcher (Mindre flugsnappare).

Liam headed off at 1015 to join two families who were taking part in the youth day – all seem to be enjoying themselves, with a visit to the station to see birds being ringed, followed by some migration watching at SUDD and a walk up the island.

Janne and Lillian spent the morning at SUDD before leaving today.

There will be eight at the Obs overnight: Chris, Kay, Liam, Ebba, Mattias, Didrik, Holger & Lovis.
