All nets opened at 0415 and closed at 1100 with 20 new birds of 12 species caught.
During the morning up to 70 Swift (Tornseglare) were feeding over the Observatory, with groups of 20+ at a time flying low past the building, ‘screech’ displaying. Some of these birds will be the 8 regular birds that are associating with the Obs and at least four of the nest boxes were investigated by the larger flock that has been around from mid-morning.
There will be two at the Obs overnight: Chris & Kay.
