The overnight wind had calmed by the earlier hours of the day and all the nets were open this morning. It was quite busy with subsequent encounters of birds that had been banded before the windy weather over the weekend. The majority of these had gained fat in the time since they had been banded.
Vismig was quieter. Sädesärla/white wagtail were heard but not seen coming out of roost from Bredmar reedbed in the half-light, a flock of Grönsiska/siskin were feeding around the Fågelstation throughout the morning, two Sparvhök/sparrowhawk were hunting around the Fågelstation and an additional five were circling to gain height then went South mid-morning.

The morning started overcast with a strong northerly breeze, remaining quite dull until after dawn. During the morning there was some vismig, going south were four Trädpiplärka/tree pipit, two Ängspiplärka/meadow pipit and three Gulärla/yellow wagtail. There were calls throughout the morning of Större strandpipare/ringed plover going south offshore and six Gluttsnäppa/greenshank went over.
There was a flock of Mindre korsnäbb/common crossbill feeding in the birches on the west coast.

The prospect of rain delayed the nets being opened at the start of the morning and the wind direction restricted the number of nets that could then be opened. Visible migration from the Fågelstation was quiet.
During an afternoon walk to the north a Sorgmantel/Camberwell beauty was seen at Sommarkyrkan.

The day started calm but a brisk north-easterly wind picked up by early afternoon. 24 birds were ringed including three Thrush Nightingale (Näktergal). An Osprey (Fiskgjuse) flew north over Bredmar at 11:00 and 14 Goldeneye (Knipa) migrated southwest. Throughout the day 182 Oystercatcher (Strandskata) were counted migrating southwest over the island. The first Tree Pipit (Trädpiplärka) of the autumn flew over Bredmar.
