Nets opened at 0530 in a moderate wind that increased to become strong by about 1000. Some nets closed at 1030 to avoid them become full of leaves and branches when the helicopter landed at the pond – we learnt from experience last week when it was here on exercise!!!!

Another poor day with very few birds around and just 18 new birds of 10 species caught.

There will be three at the Obs overnight: Chris, Kay & Sorcha.
