26th September 2020

A truly unforgettable day of migration! A continuous stream of flocks of hundreds of finches flew south throughout the day and hundreds of Robins (Rödhake) and Goldcrests (Kungsfågel) also migrated through. 641 birds were ringed, from when nets were opened at 0600 when the rain stopped, until 1800 when we finally closed them. The majority were Goldcrest (Kungsfågel), of which 329 were ringed, as well as these we controlled one with an Estonian ring! New ringing day records for Landsort were set for Yellow-browed Warbler (Tajgasångare) with seven ringed and Meadow Pipit (Ängspiplärka) with 15 ringed.
