6th October 2019

A quieter day today with 61 birds ringed this morning. The Brown Shrike (Brun törnskata) was still present all day and showed well at times for the several hundred visiting birders. Additionally, a Yellow-browed Warbler (Tajgasångare) was north of Saltmar, a Peregrine (Pilgrimsfalk) flew south over Fårhagen, where there was also a Woodlark (Trädlärka) and a Siberian Chiffchaff (Sibirisk gransångare) was seen in the village. For several nights in the past week we have attempted to catch Tengmalm’s Owl (Pärluggla), but have so far drawn a blank.
