6th June 2019

It was another warm and sunny day and the whole island is buzzing with insect life! 21 birds were
ringed this morning including a Great Reed Warbler (Trastsångare), only the fourth ever
ringed at the station, an impressive bird in all respects. It was later
heard singing from the northern end of the reedbed at Bredmar. The Sardinian
Warbler
(Sammetshätta) was not seen
conclusively today, despite a number of birders making the trip over on the
boat to look for it. A Nightjar (Nattskärra) was seen near Saltmar.
