4th July 2018

Nets opened at 0415 and closed at 1145 with 15 new birds of 11 species. Included in these were the first Cuckoo (Gök) of the year and a Crested Tit (Tofsmes), only the fifth ever trapped here. Mikael and a lucky group here for a guiding all got to see it!

A guided talk was given from 1130 until 1245 to six adults and seven under 16yr olds.

Mikael arrived on the early ferry and had a walk north but reported that the island was very quiet for birds.

There will be five at the Obs overnight; Chris, Kay, Mikael and Mark & Karen, friends of ours from the Isle of Man who are here until Sunday.
