28th June 2018

Nets opened at 0415 and closed at 1100 with 17 new birds of 13 species. Included in these, on the first net check, was a Water Rail (Vattenrall), only the third ever caught here and the first since April 2015. We also trapped our second Common Swift (Tornseglare) of the year (3rd ever trapped here), one of the 8 regularly investigating the nest boxes.

There will be two at the Obs overnight: Chris & Kay.
